Painting is Caroline's passion and from her home studio in Devon, she creates work that celebrates colour and movement. Working primarily in acrylic, Caroline builds playful, distinctive palettes that make each piece vibrate with energy and intrigue. She is fascinated by the illusion of movement, both real and mystical, and uses it to weave stories across the surface of the canvas.

Her paintings aim to capture the essence of a subject: the glint of an eye, a moment of stillness in a landscape, or a fleeting pause in the life of an animal. Layers of paint, combined with immediate, confident brushstrokes, bring these moments to life. Recently, Caroline's long‑held attention to detail has begun to soften into a freer, more intuitive way of working, opening new directions in her practice.

Inspired by travel, nature, light and colour, she strives to create paintings that invite the viewer to look twice—to feel transported. After nearly twenty years living abroad, the colours and cultures of the world have left a lasting imprint. Now, back in England, the shifting light, rolling contours, and coastal rhythms of Devon are shaping an exciting new body of paintings.
